Image Digitization and Analysis


Introduction to digital photo editing using specialized software to develop color processing techniques, sharpening, change of size or resolution, creative use of filters, image composition and photo printing.


Objectives

Section Image Processing (Image Editing) requires him / her student / student to understand the main concepts underlying digital images and to use an image editor to enhance the images, apply effects and prepare images for print and publication. The student / student should be able to: • Know the basic principles for using digital images, understand the choices of different graphics formats and concepts about colors. • Opens an existing picture, to save an image in different formats and defines the options of the image file. • It uses the available application options, such as the appearance of toolbars and color palettes to enhance productivity. • Capture (Capture) and save a picture using various selection tools, and manipulate images. • Creates and uses layers / levels (layers), working with text, and use effects and filters and use the drawing tools. • Prepare images for print or publication.
