Ornamental trees

This course is the laboratory part of the course Ornamental trees and shrubs of the undergraduate programme of the Department of Agricultural Technology, TEI of Epirus. The objective of this workshop is to familiarize the students with the specific characteristics of each ornamental plant material, cultivation and usage in urban landscapes.

Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course the student / her will: It has proven knowledge and understanding of issues related ornamental plants They are able to use knowledge and understanding acquired in a manner that indicates a professional approach to work or profession and possess skills typically demonstrated by developing and supporting arguments and solving geotechnical problems They are able to communicate ideas problems and solutions related to urban and green spaces

Prerequisites

You do not have prerequisite knowledge, only the theoretical part of the course

Syllabus

Το αντικείμενο του μαθήματος είναι τα καλλωπιστικά φυτά και οι θάμνοι. Αρχικά γίνεται ταξινόμηση τους και διαχωρίζονται ανάλογα με τα χαρακτηριστικά των φύλλων, των ανθέων και των καρπών τους. Στη συνέχεια γίνεται ανάλυση της διαδικασίας ταξινόμησης και ονοματολογίας των φυτών. Έπειτα παρουσιάζονται διάφορα είδη δένδρων και θάμνων με τις ιδιαιτερότητες τους καθώς και οι τρόποι παραγωγής και αναπαραγωγής τους. Τέλος παρουσιάζεται ο τρόπος κατάρτισης φυτολογίου καθώς και είδη αγενούς αναπαραγωγής του κάθε φυτού.
