Wood Technology I


The course aims on education of students on wood structure issues, as well as physical, chemical and mechanical properties of wood. Also on the procedures of sawing - drying - impregnation - steaming of wood. Knowledge of the structure and properties of wood as a material is the "ABC" of the student to understand the advantages and disadvantages of, the exploitation of opportunities and the best applications in the Greek practice.


Objectives

The course aims to equip students with the necessary production technology knowledge of commodities produced from wood by mechanical and chemical treatment. Also know the special manipulations technology to improve properties such as sawn timber drying, soaking and steaming of wood.

General prerequisite knowledge.
