The course outlines the main learning theories formulated under the influence of the changes brought by the integration of ICT applications in the learning process. Correlation of the new theories with the preceding ones, and new challenges and opportunities in the field of Education are presented. Influence of the previous theories onto the new ones and their relationships. Main representatives of the new learning theories. Analysis of the concept of metacognition. Identification of the impact of the new learning theories in the teaching of religious education in connection with ICT (Information and Communication Technology).
