Institutions of Roman Law


Τhe institutions of roman law are based on the ‘Institutiones’, an introductory textbook of legal institutions that the Roman Jurist Gaius wrote in the second century a.D. Gaius was the first who divided the legal issues in three parts: personae, res, actiones. Basic elements and institutions of roman law are the contents of this course, such as persons, possession, property, hereditarian and contract law.
