Purpose of the course: to sensitize students on issues related to the concepts of education and training, the general purposes of teaching and teaching objectives, learning theories and their value to the educational process, the differences between the classical theories of learning (the behaviorism, constructivism, costructionism , socio-cultural theory and the theory of activity), emotional intelligence, application of learning theories in mathematics education through learning scenarios and classroom management. Also, the nature of scientific concepts, the scientific method, the value of the experiment in the educational process, modeling, newer theoretical approaches and the use of ICT in teaching practice.

Linear programming, Simplex algorithm, randomized algorithms and expected complexity. Voronoi diagram, sweep method, Delaunay triangulations, connection with convex hull. Triangulation of point-set in two and more dimensions, triangulation of simple polygon and the art gallery problem, visibility in the plane. Vertical subdivision, point location, nearest neighbor, geometric data structures and geometric searching. Arrangements of lines and line segments. Implementation issues, degeneracy, input perturbation. Applications to robot motion planning, to macromolecular structure, to computer-aided design and graphics. Geometric implementations using the geometry software library CGAL or Python.

Regulation is the study of government intervention in markets and primarily the ones with high concentration. The purpose is to suggest and at the end implement socially acceptable business transformations. In addition is expected to propose and control administrative procedures serving social objectives. The study considers both normative as well as positive aspects of government intervention. Three are the broad issues on the normative side. The choice of policy instruments as well as the goals made to achieved. The second is the recognition that markets function within a variety of implicit or explicit rules and deals and finally a third meant to correct areas of market failure. In terms of positive analysis the course works cases with specific applications of market regulations implemented in real life problems.
